Gonzo’s Quest Review

Gonzo’s Quest slots is a non-progressive 3D slot machine game available in all virtual casinos offering Net Entertainment, or Net Ent, slots. It has a Spanish Conquistador theme with the lost city of El Dorado in South America as backdrop. It is named after a real historical figure, Gonzalo Pizzaro, who also served as inspiration for the game’s main character.

It uses five reels and 20 paylines, and accepts coin values from £0.02 up to £1 with a maximum of five coins per payline. Wagers in Gonzo’s Quest slots, therefore, range from £0.40 and £100. A fairly distinct feature of the machine is that it does not use spinning reels but instead drops icons in place. Symbols fall into the reels and when a payline matches up, icons take the place of symbols.

The icons used in the game are masks and faces on square stones, and a player can expect to find icons in blue, green, yellow, purple, brown, red and turquoise. The blue icon featuring a face with large earrings is particularly noteworthy as this is featured in the jackpot.

A scatter symbol triggers the Free Fall Round, similar to a free spins bonus round. Three or more gold icons activate 10 free falls, and in this round, a player ‘s winnings may see a 3x, 6x, 9x and even 15x multiplier. This round may also be triggered during the Free Fall gameplay.

The wild symbol is the grey stone with a question mark, and as with other slot games, may substitute for any other symbol on the reel. When a wild symbol is used, the game will only pay the highest win per payline and only on wins that occur from left to right.

Avalanche is a feature that allows a player to take more than one win from a single spin in the game. Once the icons drop, the Avalanche is triggered. When there is a win, the symbols vanish and new icons drop. If there is a succeeding win, multipliers are employed in the payout, 2x for the second consecutive win, 3x for the third, and 5x for the fourth and succeeding ones. An Avalanche in a Free Fall round will pay out higher multipliers of 3x multiplier for the first win, and6x, 9x and 15x for consecutive avalanches.

The Gonzo’s Quest slots jackpot involves five of the blue icons (featuring a face with large earrings) in a payline, and pays out 2,500 coins. However, a player may win a practically limitless amount by hitting the jackpot consecutively with the Avalanche.
